Jamie Robb

I’m Jamie, and I’ve been fishing since I was 10 years old, growing up in north-west England. My early fishing days were spent on the Lancaster Canal, where I cut my teeth targeting species like perch, pike, roach, rudd, tench, and bream—always dreaming of one day catching a carp. As soon as I passed my driving test, I expanded my horizons, fishing all over the Lake District and learning to develop my watercraft on a variety of challenging waters.

Carp fishing became my obsession during the warmer months, and whether fishing from a boat on large pits or bank fishing, I’ve honed my skills to handle any situation. My involvement with bait development has given me a unique insight into how carp react to certain ingredients, allowing me to fine-tune my approach. Observation, location, and application are the keys to success in my eyes.

In the colder months, my focus shifts to monster pike. I’ve managed to land over 40 pike in excess of 20lb, including eight fish over 30lb, with my biggest weighing in at 39lb 8oz. I use all methods—from lure fishing and deadbaiting on large and small waters to boat fishing with drifter floats and ledgering off the bank. Whatever the conditions, I thrive on the challenge and love putting my skills to the test.
